The kids are on a turtle kick right now. We checked out every book that the library had to offer this week and the girls have been reading large amount of non-fiction to gain as much knowledge as their brains can hold. We decided that we would like to "borrow" a turtle from God for a few days to keep in our back yard and observe. Last week we encountered 4 turtles but we were not well-read enough yet to bring on to our house so we decided to go out this morning to find a turtle to bring home. We searched all of the hot spots around town where turtles have been sighted in the past 6 days....no luck.
So if you see an Eastern Box Turtle, could you put it in a box for us?? We'll pick it up!!

L loves Squirt and we checked out some turtle books, too! We are thinking of heading to the aquarium in DC (Baltimore is expensive!). Have you been yet? Also check out Locust Shade Amphitheater. I think they have programs with turtles. We would also be willing to subsidize part of the room and board for some lesson time with Miss Lacey and your shelled friend. Let us know if you find one!
