Did I mention that the camping was cold? The kind of cold where you wear a hat, and gloves, and you wake up wet because the dew forms on the inside of your tent, pillow, sleeping bag, etc. Despite the raw temperatures, we did enjoy camping!
The next day was full of scouting fun, hiking, playing life-sized Angry Birds, and building catapults. However, the highlight was a chance to try archery. None of the children had ever held a bow, let alone shot anything so this was an all new experience. Each had the chance to shoot several arrows onto a target and for the most part they did really well. Elizabeth seemed to take naturally to the sport and not only felt comfortable, but actually had quite a good shot!!
