Well, we made the front page of CNN, and it was well deserved. It has been snowing for less than 24 hours and we have this photo to document our accumulation.....
In sorting through all of the repercussions of this storm....shopping that will go undone, play practices that will not be made up before the show on Thursday, a Christmas party that never will be, I wondered why this was God's timing for such a monumental storm. Then I realized that He, in His infinite wisdom, gave us this weekend to slow down from the normal Christmas activity and to just be a family without a to-do list or any obligations. We have baked cookies, played in the snow, played games, watched a movie, set a puzzle and made homemade ornaments. This is what Christmas is all about. With 20 inches on snow in our driveway and church already cancelled, tomorrow promises to be a pretty sweet guilt-free day of playing and relaxing too!

So glad all survived the tremendous storm. A friend in Arlington is calling it "snowpocalypse." Perhaps your take is better? :)
